Took one last drive before the hauler came. Enjoyed the ride but am glad it is going to someone who will show it some love.

Last week I took a  '68 Commando 8 apart, thinking about repainting it. I  power washed everything and it cleaned up rather nice. So instead of painting it I put it back together, changing the fluids and lubricating all wear spots. Mostly rewired it, and changed the fuel lines and filter. Installed a dozer plow, added a set of weights and promptly sold the very 1st tractor l ever bought. The one that started it all almost 8 years ago.

There’s a tractor.  It’s in my mirror.  But we’re heading away from my stables today.  5 year old Henry’s first Wheel Horse.

I haven't been at it that long, but I almost sold my first tractor a little while back.

I had sold my 2nd tractor shortly before and had seller remorse so bad I couldn't let the first one go.

 

I found out then how people end up with tractor amounts in the high double digits.

Funny thing

 

The guy I sold it to, within a couple of weeks, had already put it up for sale. For a couple more hundred than I sold it to him for. When I asked about it, he said it was too nice for him. That was why he was selling it. It's still for sale, I think he's just trying to cash in, but no one is biting.

Been drooling over this thing since the first time I ever laid eyes on it.
