Recommended Posts

It's cold and I was bored. This was done by me using MS paint and it took a long time too. (worked on it when I had nothin better to do.)

(It's not actually done, but none of my stuff EVER is. :( )

VERY Cool Terry !

Don't know how that Ford would do at haulin' Horses, but it should certainly haul (butt) !

Is there a trailer hitch option for the wheelie bars ??

Eldon.

Lots of details on that one stack Mack with a window in the back! I'm an ex-steel hauler/diesel mechanic, drove 40' flat beds from West Va, to NJ with a cabover pete.

Wow TT...I am very impressed! :P:(:(

Would that be an 854 or 753?

The Mack is sweet too! :D

Joel: This is what happens when you have a computer with no internet for a while -- I never knew you can actually do other things with them! :(

Eldon: In real life, it would definitely haul @%#. I suppose we could do a trailer hitch on those wheelie bars -- maybe like a drawbar plate for a 3 point hitch? :P

Nick: Thank You! I've always drawn on paper with pencil, but this is much easier. Especially when you screw up! :(

Karl: I started driving a 1970 R-600 and a 1965 F Model cabover Mack 20 years ago. I've been staring at a Bulldogs Ass (can I say that here? :( ) ever since. Been in Peterbilts, KW's, Freightliners, Western Stars, and most of the others, but my favorite will always be those Dogs! (especially those E9 V8's!)

Stephen: Thank You! I'd say that's a 753 because of the three spoke steering wheel and three wheel bolts on the rear. :D I tried to copy it off of a picture of mine.

Here's two more for y'all:

Again very nice Terry :D

I've always been big about drawing stuff too. Even took all 4 years of mechanical drawing in school and got my draftsmans license when I cameoff active duty. Helped alot with the company when I had it. I suppose I'll have to dig out a few and scan them in :P

Never thought about using paint to do it. I have a very I stress very basic cad program on my lap top I use to work out project specs. Easier than erasing 10 times on the drafting board to get a loader swing just right :(

And keeping with the theme......

Here's one of the family pets -- his name is MACK, of course. He was one year old on 12/14/07.

And this graces my right arm - opposite the WH tattoo on the left arm.

Terry,

Those are awesome. Very nice indeed. I'm a mechanical design engineer and I have a couple of programs that I used and I'm still very impressed with this, especially considering it's MS Paint.

Okay, my mind's working overtime here. But, I can forsee a Wheel Horse coloring book. It could compliment our calendar project, but we could let kids and grandkids in on this hobby. See, I told you my mind is working too much. :D

Thanks, Terry! :P

Yep....... It's just the standard MS paint found on Windows.

Maybe we can somehow combine the dumpr! pencil drawing online program and some good clear WH pictures to be able to do some "colorable" images? :D

I'll see what I can do. :(

Nope, no Generals. I did ride shotgun in one with my ex brother-in-law a long time ago though. That Silver 92 Detroit sure made my ears ring! :P

I had more bitmap "drawings" on an old computer (like a B-61 Mack and a 761 Brockway) but it crashed and I was not able to get them back again.

There's my recommendation to folks who do this kind of stuff on here: SAVE YOUR WORK TO A CD! :D

I'll have to look around the house here for a picture. My little brother owned a Mack, not sure of the year right now. I'm thinking around mid to late 80's. Before that he had a KW.

Just going back to look at your drawings. I know you did them on MS paint but they look like you did them on a CAD program. Have you had any classes? I did take a semister in CAD. That was a fun class. Problem was, I was the old man there. It was full of young kids that were only taking the class to fill credits needed.

I started messing with the paint program when it was still a baby. My sisters computer had Windows 3.1 (I think) and when I would house sit for them, I would draw trucks on her computer.

The thing that makes them look a little different on here is that the bitmap (BMP)drawings are saved as JPEG files. That actually mutes the harshness of the pixels and blends the colors more. I have tried Paint Shop Pro, but can't operate as good with that program. Maybe I'll get my fingers on something better someday, but I'm kinda tickled with these results. :D
