nylyon-(Admin) 7,880 #1 Posted March 15, 2015 My daughter Brittany has a cool Italian project to do. Make a delicious meal with 2 others in the class. They picked our house and to get ready I decided to put the oven on Self Clean for 3 hours (the default time). After about 2 hours it started to beep and just gave an F5 01 error on the display. The oven can only be like 7 years old... Supposed to be an error communicating between the user interface board and power board. Bought a new power board on-line, hoping that will be it.. Needless to say, I won't be eating Italian tomorrow
Sparky-(Admin) 23,128 #2 Posted March 15, 2015 Yep....I hate when the "check engine" light pops up on anything....I suppose that would include a stove. (Is there an Olive Garden nearby? ) Mike..........
rmaynard 16,290 #3 Posted March 15, 2015 That'll teach you. Never try to clean the oven before company comes.
squonk 43,729 #4 Posted March 15, 2015 (edited) We had a stove that kept popping up error codes. don't remember the brand but the control board was mounted ON THE CHIMNEY FOR THE HEAT TO VENT OUT OF THE OVEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Board was singed pretty good. Every time my wife cleaned the oven it was cooking that board. I wonder what banana brain thought of that?? Coadster32 793 #6 Posted March 16, 2015 Sorry about your stove, that does stink. Ran across the same type problem with my 10 year old furnace. Of course the aquastat board is two generations out of manufacture. Didn't think I'd find any humor in this type of thread until I read banana brain. Gotta steal that one for sure.
