shallowwatersailor 3,213 #1 Posted February 16, 2015 The Mid-Atlantic States have sort of been left out of this Winter's favorite pastime. This has been especially hard for me, originally from a more snowy part of the country, with a new (to me) tractor and snowthrower setup to try out. Tonight we are predicted to finally get 6"-12" of snow in our area. Paladin and Oxford are in the wings and ready! Waiting on the bench "batting cleanup" in their warm-ups are Larrabee, Pancho, and Hopalong.

shallowwatersailor 3,213 #6 Posted February 16, 2015 Do you still have that Gravely blower John? Still have both the dog-eater and the snow-cannon. There just has not been the opportunity this year to use them!
Ed Kennell 35,905 #7 Posted February 16, 2015 (edited) All the others were north of me John. Now, this one is to the south. Seems like I am in no ( ) mans land. We may be on the north edge and get 3-6" from this one. Do you need any extra operators to run all that equipment? Jeff R. 35 #8 Posted February 17, 2015 Still have both the dog-eater and the snow-cannon. There just has not been the opportunity this year to use them! John, is the snow cannon the blower that can easily toss a dry snow over the power lines??? I want to get one of these or a dog eater one day!!!
shallowwatersailor 3,213 #9 Posted February 17, 2015 John, is the snow cannon the blower that can easily toss a dry snow over the power lines??? I want to get one of these or a dog eater one day!!! That would be the MA-210 snow-cannon. My MA-115 dog-eater is an older square chute, but still puts out a decent plume.

All the old Gravelys can toss it. My neighbor had one of the Dog eaters in the 60's that threw it over the lines and across the highway to the other side!
Retired Wrencher 4,891 #18 Posted February 17, 2015 John there are a few of us up here that would gladly switch with you. It just becomes a pain after a while. It is a good thing I retired this year. Ed Kennell 35,905 #21 Posted February 17, 2015 Only 2" of the fluff up here Bob. It wasn't a very good test for the 520 John, but I couldn't resist taking a 2 hour ride in the warm cab. I blew mine and 3 neighbors and the 300 ft stone road.
