Kohler k301

I have a Kohler K301 10hp block (new never assembled), yes it is a 10. It has a hole for a screw in dipstick that is not threaded and it also has a hole on the side for a bolt on tube style dipstick. My question is there a plug available for the top hole? Or should I push a tube in the top hole and then make a plate to cover the side hole?  Hope this makes senses.

You should be able to find a core (freeze) plug to fit the top hole.
Dorman seems to be a popular supplier and many auto parts stores carry that brand.

Online option example:  http://freezeplugfactory.com/expansion-plug-size-chart/
