boovuc 1,090 #1 Posted January 25, 2015 I noticed that the drive pulley off a K301 I have from the late 80's has a drive pulley that has two set screws on it that one is over-top of the crankshaft key. On the other-hand, my newer driver pulley from a 520-H has two set-screws but NONE of them are over the crank key. Also noticed the K301 has over 3.5 inches of crankshaft verses the P220's slightly over 2.5 inches. Any issues running the PTO from this K301 on the shorter P220 crank? I needed to use my puller to get the drive pulley and the race-bearing off that K301! What a PIA!
boovuc 1,090 #2 Posted January 25, 2015 I just took the PTO and drive pulley off of the "bad" Onan and saw the same race-bearing on the short shaft as is on my older K-Series. Still wonder if anyone has an opinion on the older drive pulley verses the newer. (Set-screws on top of the key-way on the older pulley).
