zanepetty 117 #1 Posted January 15, 2015 So I've read the manual and adjusted the carb accordingly. But, I can't get the screws "out" enough it seems. I can get it to run fine but I can take the screws all the way out and it's fine... Too far in is a no no but all the way out is a different story. That being said my tractor seems to run pretty well. I just don't know. What do you guys think?

Ed Kennell 35,904 #3 Posted January 15, 2015 I would guess the orifice has a varnish build up that is restricting the flow. Take the screws out and soak the holes with carb cleaner several times a day for a week, then try the adjustment procedure. If that doesn't work, take the carb apart and do a proper soak and clean. zanepetty 117 #4 Posted January 15, 2015 It's a k161. Sorry I forgot to post that info. I have soaked my carb in the cleaner before. I just had it apart and it looks to be very clean. Maybe not though..
slammer302 2,154 #5 Posted January 15, 2015 I would screw it in till it starts to run bad then back it off a 1/4 of a turn and call it good if its running good
