Dans wheelhorse 5 #1 Posted January 6, 2015 Just looking for a year and round about serial number on this 48" side discharge deck. It works fine but I wanted to restore it. New belt, some rollers and axels they sit on, blades. It would be nice to know if something breaks on it so I can find parts. I hope the pics show up. stevebo-(Moderator) 8,059 #3 Posted January 6, 2015 Dan- Thought that looked familiar. It is a mid to late 70's off of a c141. Do you have the shoot off the other deck or did I take that?
Tankman 3,515 #4 Posted January 6, 2015 (edited) Looks like only the exit chute is gone. I have four of the same decks, excellent. Only one chute. Oh well. For reference visit: http://www.partstree.com/parts/?lc=Toro+Consumer&mn=E5-48SC01 I hope you didn't pickup the deck in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,530 #6 Posted January 6, 2015 The biggest differences in these decks can't be seen in the photos. That was the bearings used in the spindle assemblies and this chart shows those differences When you click on a model line it will take you to a single page that shows the original spindle assembly used and the replacement or replacements for the original. A 1975 48" deck for the C-Series except C-195 used model number 5-1211 which was replaced by 65-48MS01 and later 15-48SC03 and 78361 to get you started. Dans wheelhorse 5 #7 Posted January 6, 2015 No tankman I got from a fellow friendly member in Connecticut, maybe the deck lived in Pennsylvania?
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,059 #8 Posted January 6, 2015 Nope that deck was on a C141 used here in New Milford, CT. I bought the deck at the Kent, CT. show this past fall and I believe that Riley (Nate) now is the owner of the C141 it was on.
