formariz 11,995 #1 Posted December 22, 2014 I am thinking of getting myself a Christmas present. Harbor Freight's 1000Lb motorcycle lift. Does anyone own one and has any input on it? Any advise greatly apreciated.
limited12 360 #2 Posted December 22, 2014 I purchased one two years ago, I made a frame out of 2x12 to make it wider for my wheel horse, install some carriage bolts to hole it down with, works great and when I need to put my motorcycle on it take out four bolts and remove the 2x12's
squonk 42,892 #3 Posted December 22, 2014 How much does that lift weigh and how easy is it to move around?
formariz 11,995 #4 Posted December 22, 2014 Its over 330Lbs. With the exception of straight back and forth probably not easy to move. it has small casters. I was also thinking what to do to make it a little wider for the tractors. At about 27" it will fit a round hood but backwheels are about half of their width overhanging. An additional 6" on each side would be ideal.
limited12 360 #5 Posted December 23, 2014 It is not that bad to move around with no load, and easier than I thought with something sitting on it, my concrete floor does have a rough broom finish.

formariz 11,995 #7 Posted December 24, 2014 Looking again at catalogue, just realized they have another model identical, but specified as a motorcycle/ATV lift for the same price. This one however is 6" wider , its longer, and lifts 4" higher. Perfect for the tractors.
