Will this snow blower fit?

A person called me and asked if a mod no.06-42ST04 serial no 33286 snow blower would fit

his 1989 520HC with a 60in deck. I told him I wasn't sure. I'm hoping that one of our members

can help. I know know he has a sweep front axle. Thanks in advance And Merry Christmas

06-42ST04 was sold 1984-1987

 

The 1987-89 model was 06-42ST05

 

Should fit as long as the front axle has not been changed to the later forward swept design. This kit adapts these snowthrowers to the forward swept axle tractors

Hi Garry, I looked up that package and it just shows a lift tube. Is it longer or shorter that the one that came with it? Do you know the difference?

I don't believe the snowthrower has a fitment problem with the swept front axle. The snowblade does have a problem  because it pivots. The '89 should still have the standard axle, unless it is a 520-HC.

Think I'm getting them mixed up. Believe it was the gear reduction steering that required an extra bend in the lift tube so it would clear.

Checked the Toro site and it does require a different lift tube, #81650.

I have to retract this statement because I don't know why the revised tube is required.

 

I don't think the forward swept axle and the geared reduction steering happened at the same time.
