BPjunk 184 #1 Posted October 18, 2008 The long sought after model 854 is now at it's final home here in Richmond. The 854 was given a hot bath while in Pee Ya and then taken to the Steam-O-Rama Show. The 854 does run well but has a little loosness in the lower steering shaft, the original fan gear and lower steering shafts on 1964 models used a small 1/4" roll pin to secure the two peices but the replacment part uses a 5/16" roll pin. The rear wheels had to be cleaned several times to get the anceint grass clippings cleaned off. Here is the 854 at the Steam-P-Rama Show next to Phil Bowlins imaculate C-81. Michael Bullington 5 #6 Posted October 18, 2008 wow bill! nice 854 ....nice and original ,,,just like I like them. My 654 steering shaft was the same way,, a larger pin made it steer nice and smooth. Michael
