Call it what it is or what it was?

B-80 + 12hp Kohler = C-120 8 speed

Would you call this tractor a b80 or a c120? I know alot of Wheel Horses have been modified over the years. Do you call tractors what they started life as, what the tag says, what you made it to be, what it should be?

You know.... I've been wondering this too. I'm getting ready to re-power my 633 with a K181 (8hp)

Let's see what the experts say. :banghead:

:horseplay: glad you ask the ? david, i was wondering what to call mine. several months ago i bought a GT1800, work horse and couldn't find parts to make it original,,,,so ,,, i am making a GT-LP-20 it has parts from almost all models that will fit, the 3,4,5 C series, i stripped the thing down , got it all painted , mostly red but will have a different paint scheme , haven't decided the details yet, and in the process of putting it back together with a 20 hp honda propane engine, it is gonna be just a power horse to plow, till and push stuff around, the 175 will mow..i think we should give them a name with some thing describing what they started out as and what they are going to end up as :banghead:

Sorry David, I was just making a comparison. A B-80 8 speed has the same sheetmetal, frame, and most importantly- rear end as a C series. There may have been a few subtle differences (nicer seat on a C, etc...), but basically you're gonna have a C-120.
