Is this homemade or something different?

What is the motor, I see no nameplates on it or anything.  Runs like a top!!!

It's the coolest moped I've ever seen!  :text-+1:

It has the characteristics of an old Rupp or Scat Cat mini bike, but the frame in the rear looks a bit beefier to me. As far as the engine, looks like a Tecumseh. :-) Maybe this will give somewhat of a starting point for research. Hope this helps...

The engine is a Clinton 3 1/2 or 4 HP.

Looks like one of them old kit bikes you could buy and put together in a weekend. Ordered out of different magazines and what not.

The engine certainly looks Clinton to me. It sure is a unique machine. Good find!!!

It's a mini-bike, my sons has one back in the early 70's. They would be sold in mower shops, hardware stores, dept stores. I think there was any number of small companies that made them. They were just called mini- bikes as in mini motor- bikes.

Lots of cheap fun,no gears just gas it and go..I laugh when I think of my two boys fighting over whose turn it was to ride first.

:woohoo:  Don't know the brand, but that is one well built mini bike. The drum brake on the rear tire is first class, most of them have an arched metal thinggie that will rub against the rear tire, barely a step above Fred Flintstones brakes.

Good luck.
