rollingflat 123 #8 Posted November 1, 2014 I remembered dtallon restored a wagon just like this one on this site and it turned out great. So add another project to the list.
rollingflat 123 #9 Posted November 1, 2014 Checked oil and air cleaner, looks due for a change after the scrub down.
rollingflat 123 #10 Posted November 1, 2014 OK did not have much time w the tractor today but did mow a few passes in yard and it cuts great. As nice or better than my zero turn! Found the pin on the lift arm broken off that slides into slot on deck. probably why po said it mowed uneven? also noticed oil psi light came on and blinked when mower was engaged not sure why? so very happy with my new ride I think will use it for second mower on property. heres more pics after unloading. motox25 36 #11 Posted November 2, 2014 Wow great score, even has the awesome 60" deck. That deck gives the best cut of any deck I've used. The lift arm lifts the front of the deck while the rear rides on the deck wheels. I would imagine it would cause an uneven cut or scalp. Oil PSI light flashing is either due to insufficient oil pressure or a bad sensor. Sensor is located behind the fan shroud near the rear cylinder. The Onan engine manual details how to test the sensor. Great machine!
rollingflat 123 #12 Posted November 2, 2014 Moto thanks for info on oil sensor Will check it out.
dtallon 320 #13 Posted November 2, 2014 Looks like a nice find. Your specified location is pretty vague, but that tractor didn't come from central Illinois did it? I thought I remembered seeing one like that on Craigslist earlier this week and thinking it looked like a pretty good deal. Those carts are fun. I put way too much work into mine, but was pretty happy with how it turned out. Dave
rollingflat 123 #14 Posted November 2, 2014 Dave yes that was the one in central il.I'm tickled to get it. And loved you thread on rebuilding the cart. Where r u located?

Geno 1,929 #16 Posted November 2, 2014 OK did not have much time w the tractor today but did mow a few passes in yard and it cuts great. As nice or better than my zero turn! One of those made me sell my zero turn, truly an awesome machine! How did Geno miss that one? :laughing-rofl: I've slowed because I'm out of room, for the moment that is. nappypappy 98 #17 Posted November 2, 2014 Out of room no way, just put up another building you have plenty of space there or clean out one of those other buildings...
Geno 1,929 #18 Posted November 2, 2014 I'm working on it, did you look at the 2 pallet rack threads? If any building expansions start it will have to wait till Spring, I don't do cold well!
KyBlue 655 #19 Posted November 2, 2014 Nice score! After seeing Geno and his 60" I'm really thinking I'll have to get one... That Onan just... Too many issues IMHO

nappypappy 98 #21 Posted November 2, 2014 I read all this great stuff about the 520-h but what makes it so much better than the others like a 416 and so on?
546cowboy 302 #22 Posted November 3, 2014 I had a 516H quite a while back before I got my first 520H and after that the 516 had to go. I think I've had 6-520's now including the elusive 520-8. Two with 60" decks and all the rest had 48's. Here are a couple pictures from when I had a 500 Herd. The 516 on the left, then 1990 520-8, 1988 520H and 1990 520H w/60" deck. Enjoy!

Found oil drain pipe loose and leaking, will tighten when oil is changed. polished all chrome, hood and fenders. Next will b to clean deck and weld acouple of cracks. change oil, and all filters. remount mower and test it out.
rollingflat 123 #25 Posted November 4, 2014 (edited) Question, there are no roller wheels on front of deck...should there be? I would think there should be.? Sorry one long roller in middle front but none on outer sides of front. Edited November 4, 2014 by rollingflat
