So far $20 invested... cost of the squirrel cage. Everything else ( mounting hardware, belt etc.) was just laying around the shop.

Gracie's Dad

I STOPPED AND TALKED TO A GUY WITH A SIMILAR SET UP LAST WEEK. IT WAS MOUNTED ON THE FRONT OF A AN OLD 416 WITH A KOHLER ENGINE. HE HAD REMOVED THE HOOD TO MAKE ROOM FOR THE SQUIRREL CAGE, AND SET IT UP TO RUN LIKE A GENERATOR ATTACHMENT. HE SAID THAT HE HAD BEEN USING IT FOR EIGHT YEARS. CITY PICKS UP THE LEAVES WHEN THEY ARE PUSHED TO THE ROAD, SO HE JUST HAS TO GET THEM TO THE CURB. I TOOK A COUPLE OF PICS BUT CAN'T UPLOAD THEM. IT WAS A GRIN : )

Old red:

You should definitely put a vectoring chute on the front of that thing! Have a joystick at your seat to control the flow of air from either side or straight ahead...

AHA- put a gas fired heat exchanger on it to blow superheated air to the ground for snow melting.... THAT is where its AT!

The vectoring chute has been designed...waiting for parts. The hot air intake has been discussed as well, not only for ice melting but as a jet dryer as well. Don't know if we will go with the heat right now, but you know how it goes: "necessity is the mother of invention". If the winter gets wicked...its ON!

Credit has to go to fourwheels0 for the insanity.

If your transmission ever goes out, looks like you may have an alternate method of getting her back to the shed.

Yes! That is great! Instead of mulching, I could just blow all the leaves into my neighbors yard!

During the initial testing of the "Whirled of Hurt", yes it will move leaves WELL into the neighbors yard!

No video was made because of that "self-incriminating evidence" thing.

Now I'm beginning to understand that "Good fences make good neighbors" stuff.

Because of the season and Halloween and all, we found that is does throw mini marshmallows pretty well.

The kids might be able get their treats delivered to them on the street!

The good ones can get the treats, the bad ones get pieces of coal chucked into the blower.  :laughing-rolling:

Naw that would be mean...

The good ones get ambient temperature marshmallows, the bad ones get freshly 'toasted' marshmallows...

Did this yesterday. Gonna do some mods but should blow a Prius off the highway when done.

OH!!! That looks like a combination for disaster!!! :laughing-rolling:  Let's see, mount the blower so the force of the blower is directly proportional to the force the drive tires are exerting, and WHA - LA, instant recipe for a tire smoke fest!!! COOL IDEA!! LOVE IT! :ychain:  :ychain: ACTUALLY, should do a really great job with fall clean up.

it's not good to leave me alone, bored in the barn haha.

Wonder how many of those you could sell as a Tornado Deterrent Device, TDD for short.

Try the Cub Cadet Bulletin Board...

Absolutely awesome . Finally, a way to blowing leaves while seating . Can you post a few detailed photos of your setup?

Great job.
