Trouty56 567 #1 Posted October 26, 2014 We have a pretty new LG washing machine....last week it threw up a failure code.....LE.....heck of a noise.......looked online for fixes and found a few hap hazzard resets and such.....got to the point it threw the error as soon as we started it.....next thing was something called a hall sensor.....then the stator......then rotor.....then a new card..... Of course it could also be a pulled wire. We have that sucker shoehorned into a washer/dryer closet and it was a bear getting out...... Once out I flipped it up and the nut holding the rotor on was so loose the washer below it had clearance..... Took the rotor off to check the magnets.....look at the stator.....check connection.....clean the gears (plastic????).....put it back together.....so far so good.....and nothing purchased!!!! Sometimes you just get lucky!!!!!!

Aldon 4,828 #4 Posted October 27, 2014 (edited) Your lucky. The LG's seem to be notorious for the heat sensors to fail. It's happened 3 times with our I believe. There are two in circuit. According to the tech who serviced it the last time, it's best to swap them both at same time. Since its under warranty, they tried to gamble twice. Wife loves the machine since they replaced the assembly as its run quite q while without a problem now. Edited October 27, 2014 by Aldon
