Well....I have to thank my local dealer here; they gave me the heads up on it because I think the former owner called his local dealer to get an idea of value be for listing for sale. His dealer called mine for an idea of value because they know each other and I dont think too many of these were sold...then my dealer called me and said "hey, I know of a 520 with loader for sale....."

So, long story short...it kind of fell in my lap..wasn't really looking for one but the price was fair and the owner had everything for all attachments.

After using it to unload I can say it certainly isnt as capable as bigger machines (i have run many skidsteers and mid size tractors, loaders, etc) but it should be great for mulch next year and some other little tasks I have im mind....snow will be fun too if I need to stack this year.

This tractor is definitely getting the "Matt's foot control" kit I have on the shelf.

So far, im thrilled...I will clean it up and service it tomorrow then start posting questions.....like:

1. Anyone ever add a filter for the loader?

2. Anyone convert twin stick loader control to joystick? The current configuration reminds me of the 1960's case construction king we had for a yard machine at my old job!

Anyway...thanks for comments and stay tuned!

Congrats! It certainly beats a shovel and wheelbarrow! I have one on a 522xi. Picked her up with 1000 hours. Was immediately disappointed with its lifting ability. Got the tamper proof cap of the relief valve and have her a few turns. She picks up anything I can get the bucket under. Enjoy!

I believe that tractor was in the Julian/Port Matilda area of Centre County. I thought it was a great price for the tractor with all the implements. I don't need two 520's with a loader or I think I would have been knocking on that gentleman's door three weeks ago).

I just don't know about having Orangemen coming into Nittany Lion territory looking for horses. On top of that, I'm a Georgetown Basketball fan and, well you know how we feel about Coach/Doctor Jim Blowheim. (That is how you spell his name isn't it)?  :happy-jumpeveryone:

Seriously, I hope you have great luck with your tractor. Glad a Redsquare member has it!

I am sorry to hear about your allegiance to G-Town....always loved those games at the dome here and I will miss that rivalry if they dont keep it going!

All my cousins and my dad went to psu (from eastern pa)...I even visited happy valley but sprung for a small school instead.

I am actually an ESF Stumpy (you'll want to Google that)

Seriously, the owner was great; I think I called him the first day it was listening and he told me he would hold it...which was awesome on his part.m

I even got it a bit under asking!

Anyway....I will try to stay north of the Susquehanna from now on!!!!

I had to google it!

OK.....I want the Woolly Adelgid and Emerald Ash Borer out of my/our forests. If you get just one of these invasive species eradicated, you can come south of the West Branch of the Susquehanna any time you want! (Or bring back a blight resistant American Chestnut or Elm Tree).  :)

Enjoy that Tractor!

My loader has a filter on the return line mounted under the tractor.

FIlter base is from Northern Tool, and the filter is NAPA 1551.

It is mounted to the undercarriage, and a very imortant part of the mount is the shield in front of the filter.
