How do I release the trans to freewheel on a charger 10?

How do I release the trans to freewheel on a charger 10? I think it's a 1972 has 10 hp kohler on it

I loosened this but didnt help(see pic)

It's a bad picture, but the valve is located here:

Counter-clockwise 1/4 turn if I recall.

You are missing the valve...it should look like this on the top of the Hydrogear unit

You have an early one.. it is on the back right under that splotch on the wire. 1/2 or 9/16 head,don't remember which, just loosen it a bit and just snug it when you're ready to run it.

Reminds me of my first 'barn find' a '67 1077. PO had bought it new, also had a tiller with it. Anyway, when we went to roll it out of the barn it would not roll, so we pulled it out to where we could get it on my trailer. Not having much experience with WH I never thought about the Sunstrand parking brake! Pushed the handle down and rolled it right off the trailer. I now have 2 Sunstrand tranny's with working parking brakes.
