Dhodge 528 #1 Posted September 30, 2014 Hey guys, Do they make a lift assist spring for rototillers? I have a 36" tiller mounted on a 310-8 and it seems a bit heavy for a female to lift. If so can I just add a generic spring?
doc724 924 #2 Posted September 30, 2014 Yes. it is the same spring that is used for the snow blowers. $29 from Toro etc. One of the vendors on RS, maybe Glen, has them for about $10. You will need to add an eyebolt and bracket to the tiller and have the proper attachment on the top of the left side axle. Check the IPL to make sure your tiller has these. If not, PM me and I will tell you how I made mine
MalMac 1,328 #3 Posted September 30, 2014 Yes, a assist spring is used. You can get them from Toro or a member on here "Glen Pettit" in the vendor section has them for sale. It attachés from the a bracket on the tiller on the left side to the left side bracket holding the rear attach a matic hitch.
