Geno 1,928 #1 Posted September 27, 2014 (edited) Wanted to start this to help people that may need an avatar and either do not know how to do it or maybe want the one you have a little more customized. Every time I see the regular board silhouette I think of a crime scene outline. All I need to know is what you want, colors, pic, name, etc. It would be nice if you furnish the pic you want so I don't take someone elses pic here on the board without their permission. You can post all the info and pic in here. I can post the finished avatar in here then you can tell me what changes you would like from there, sizes, fonts, etc. Sometimes you think you like something then you see it and it's not what you like. It only takes 10-15 minutes to make one, and a few seconds to change it. I've done a few here already. If I can help I would be glad to. Geno 1,928 #3 Posted December 18, 2014 Working on a few things here Motor. Which do you like better, the name to the left or all the way across the top? I'm trying not to cover any of the tractor up. The only color that's working for the background as far as being able to read it is a white with a glow and shadow applied.
motor12 367 #4 Posted December 18, 2014 Geno, I like the second one, thanks
Geno 1,928 #5 Posted December 18, 2014 I have a few more already done in that look so I'll put them here just in case.
motor12 367 #6 Posted December 18, 2014 I uploaded the one I liked, now I feel like part of the forum. I am going to take a copy of the avatar you made for me and have Kinkos make it poster size so I can display it in my new shop,(in planning stages) thanks for taking the time to help me and all the members, it is appreciated.
Geno 1,928 #7 Posted December 18, 2014 (edited) A higher resolution pic would be better for the poster. Also once it gets bigger there are more options for the color of your name, where it is, the 3D look below and such. Let your imagination go. This is from your original pic, original size. If you want to make a poster I would get the highest resolution pic the camera will handle so it looks good when they enlarge it, then I can add what you want to it. You can click on the pic below for the larger size. Edited December 18, 2014 by Geno

KyBlue 652 #13 Posted December 28, 2014 I like that Craig! Once I become a supporter later this month - I'll have to start using that in my signature I think Geno will have something in mind to use for 'blue' ... a Cartoon Character that Sandra showed him named Blue.

Digger 66 3,477 #23 Posted January 3, 2015 Barely, do you give lessons? It took me almost two years to learn a Corel product for editing videos ( Pinnacle studio 15 ) Once I did , it crashed & was never to recover . Now I have Sony Vegas & am learning that .
Geno 1,928 #24 Posted January 3, 2015 I've had the Vegas Pro for many years and there is no better program out there for vids. You made a good choice Digger.
Martin 2,130 #25 Posted January 3, 2015 (edited) Finally getting acquainted with Corel , Geno ? Barely, do you give lessons? ive been learning to use Corel DrawX6 on an off for about a month now (probably about 10-15 hours if you don't count messing around and not concentrating on learning!!!). you need to give it a chance. sure, ive got a long way to go until I have a grasp on it like Terry (vinylguy) does and maybe it will take years but I already have grasped enough to want to do more. a few weeks ago I wasn't feeling the same way. very overwhelming, but I started reading a little on how to do the basics and now I cant leave it alone. the help section is your friend. there is a great amount of info available. I also picked up a book Corel DrawX6 The Official Guide. there are also tutorials available both in that book and online. I need to thank Terry for he's given me much encouragement, especially early on when I was ready to throw in the towel........... (he didn't know it at the time) im not interested in taking anything away from this thread Geno, or your avatar service either, but my avatar was made with this program by myself (with my limited knowledge) in about 30 minutes this morning.......
