leeave96 487 #1 Posted August 16, 2014 I've got a Simplicity that will lay down a nice stripe. But today, while mowing at my Church, I thought I'd give the Wheelhorse 520H w/ 48 inch deck a try at it. Here's what I got: Not bad for an old tractor.... ;)

Theroundhousernr 589 #7 Posted August 17, 2014 May I ask what notch you have the deck height set on?
leeave96 487 #8 Posted August 17, 2014 May I ask what notch you have the deck height set on? Highest setting on the deck. Anything lower and I get some scalping. Mowing around 3 inches and get a great cut.

Wheel-N-It 2,967 #10 Posted August 17, 2014 I agree! Thats a fine job of mowing and striping. My front yard is not easy to lay those nice straight lines on, so I have to just go round and round.

Hossenfeffa 49 #12 Posted August 24, 2014 The striping you see on baseball fields, for instance, is done by having a roller attached to the rear of the deck or reel. (if you are using a reel mower) Mow one way and the roller lays the grass down that way, mow the other way and the grass lays down that way. It's all in the way the light hits the grass. My 312 stripes, but its the tires leaving tracks in the grass!
