tkbrackett 3 #1 Posted July 23, 2014 I live in Arkansas and just bought a 78 D250 with no attachments. Runs good but needs points replaced, key switch. Back tires are flat and front seal on hydraulic pump is leaking.also would need new battery. cracks in rear plastic fenders. but still in real nice shape. Don't know much about them. Know they are well liked in the north. It has 915 hours on it. also have parts manual. I don't care what shape it was in!Did you see what "Joe's outdoor" was asking for individual parts!What a shame to take a tractor apart and sell it for pieces. IMO due to parts being so hard to find and so many things can and do go wrong with them I would rather have another smaller horse. IMO it is kind of like owning an old car that needs to be repaired a lot. My buddy restored one and when it was done EVERYTHING worked on it as it should, even the dash lights. (see pic). Catmanii 36 #12 Posted September 29, 2014 (edited) Yep, parts is a problem and in really good shape the price is getting close to that of the small used sub compact 4 wheel drive diesel Yanmar tractors and you can get parts for them. Made in Japan along with several other makes they are good little tractors and the diesel engines just run forever. They are not Red though.
