squonk 38,986 #4 Posted July 20, 2014 Cooperstown is so cool. We went a few years ago the day after the enshrinement ceremony and the village was still buzzing. The Yankee fans on one side of main street were going at it with the Red Sox fans on the other side. It was funny as hell. Very colorful insults were being lobbed! We won our first game this morning 8-1 over the Illinois Maverics, then had a tough 10-8 loss to the Maryland Cardinals this afternoon. Cooperstown is so cool. It was funny as hell. Very colorful insults were being lobbed! We will be taking the team to the hall of fame on Tue. Looking forward to the tour with my grandsons. I had my sons here about 40 years ago. BTY ...So far, I have driven about 200 miles of NY's back roads and just saw my first WH this evening on the way back to the motel. Just enough of the hood above the weeds to see it is a Raider 12. I stopped to check it out, but no one was home except one very large noisy dog that would not let me out of the vehicle. I'll stop tomorrow with some hot dogs in hand and see if he agrees to let me exit the vehicle.
baerpath 517 #6 Posted July 21, 2014 I don't know I ran back roads Sat and found a 414-8 with a two stage just north of Cooperstown. It's not there anymore lol
Ed Kennell 35,904 #7 Posted July 23, 2014 Went by the Raider 12 again yesterday , but no one was home. Had a great day though celebrating Mrs.K's 70th birthday at The blue Mingo Grill on Lake Ostego. Best crab cake and clam chowder ever.
