Howard2x4x4 0 #1 Posted June 1, 2014 My 518 H (1980 +/-) stopped moving on me this week. I (along with a buddy much more adept than I am) noticed big time wobble at the cooling fan. Pulled the right rear tire & rim & fan & pulley. The pump shaft wobbles like crazy. Appears to be a sealed bearing around the shaft. What next? Are parts available? Help! Thanks! dwcphoto 7 #4 Posted June 6, 2014 The hydro on my 518-H went soft a couple years ago. I was able to get some more life out of it by using 90 weight gear oil. I found a 520-H rear for sale and with the help of the guys here and a friend I mounted that on the tractor and it's good as new. There was a lot of comment about the hydo on the 518.
