Fun Engineer 859 #1 Posted May 13, 2014 I picked up this used Rototiller the other day. Model number tag missing. Can anybody help me identify what model this may be? I also need to know what I may be missing. I plan to use it on my 314-H. I think I need the lift cable and tube? Fun Engineer 859 #4 Posted May 13, 2014 I've got both the original and a new belt in the deal. How hard is it going to be to find the tube and cable? Sent from my tractor seat using Tapatalk
Kelly 1,028 #6 Posted May 13, 2014 Is that a eaton 1100 in that? you will need the cable, tube, trunnion that screws on the threaded part of the cable, and the correct clevis for the other end of the cable, if it's a 1100 you need the long clevis
cleat 4,990 #7 Posted May 13, 2014 I also need this clevis. Is it available or do I need to make one ? Cleat
Kelly 1,028 #8 Posted May 13, 2014 last I knew you could still buy the clevis at Toro, they make a long and a short, the long one is for the Eaton trans, the short is for all others
Fun Engineer 859 #9 Posted May 14, 2014 I'll have to check what Trans I have tomorrow. Thanks for the info guys. Sent from my tractor seat using Tapatalk
Fun Engineer 859 #10 Posted May 16, 2014 Yep it's got the Eaton 11. I've decided to install this Rototiller on my C 81 instead of the 314 since it already has the cable and lift tube installed on it. Sent from my tractor seat using Tapatalk
Fun Engineer 859 #11 Posted May 20, 2014 (edited) Well the tiller works pretty good for its age. The only problem I'm having is with the lift. It's not the correct cable. It's a regular cable without the adjustable threaded end for the trunnion. The tiller either hangs too low or too high using the chain attached to the lift. I made my own adjustable link and will try it out tomorrow when things dry out. I also need to buy a shorter assist spring. Kelly 1,028 #12 Posted May 21, 2014 A heavier spring, the correct spring is very close to a old car hood spring, in size.
Fun Engineer 859 #13 Posted May 21, 2014 Thanks Kelly. I'll check out the local salvage yard. Sent from my tractor seat using Tapatalk
