km3h 543 #1 Posted May 11, 2014 As usual, when I get a tractor I spend a lot of time finding and downloading and studying as much written material as I can find. I have a new ignition switch and am waiting for a new connector for it to arrive. In looking over the schematic for this tractor, which has an Onan engine in it, I find that it only uses four terminals on the 5 position switch. They are marked A,B,I, and S. An insert in the schematic shows that when in the run position B-R-I-A are used and in start B-R-I-S are engaged. My question is what does the R stand for? I realize that the R stands for run, but there is apparently no wire hooked to the run position at least not in any schematic I have.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,440 #2 Posted May 11, 2014 The 12 volt DC wire from the regulator goes to the R terminal on some models but none with the Onan. 4 wires only. Garry
