skimerhorn 3 #5 Posted April 11, 2014 I have a question, it runs good but the muffler and small piece of pipe turns cherry red after its been run for a while. Is this normal? Wasn't sure if that meant it was running rich or the timing or points were off? Anybody have any experience with this?
posifour11 723 #6 Posted April 11, 2014 From my understanding, it could be running lean or could be timing. I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong.
Desko 552 #7 Posted April 11, 2014 It could be what posifour11 sail but its sounds to me like your exhaust valve it holding open some causing the hot un exerted combustion to come out to soon I've seen this happen several times to Briggs.
