echoffmann 2 #1 Posted March 31, 2014 Anyone know what the clear vent tube going into the frame is for? It's been wore off and is laying on the frame by the console.
tunahead72 2,346 #2 Posted March 31, 2014 Possibly from the battery? What tractor? Photos would help.
squonk 39,121 #3 Posted March 31, 2014 Sounds like a battery vent to me too. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Ed Kennell 36,033 #4 Posted March 31, 2014 Battery pan drain on my 520H is a clear tube.
64s 83 #5 Posted March 31, 2014 I'm with ekennell. It should connect to the bottom of the battery tray to control water drainage.
echoffmann 2 #6 Posted March 31, 2014 Sorry guys, thought I had uploaded the picture, I used my phone so that was my first mistake! The tractor is a 1990 520H, and hopefully the photo loads this time. Thanks for the help. And now that I look at mine...battery tray might be missing if it's not part of the console? There was battery tie down, just the "J" hook on the one side.
64s 83 #7 Posted March 31, 2014 Yup, the battery tray is just a loose piece of black plastic held in place by the battery and tie downs. Yours is missing.
Ed Kennell 36,033 #8 Posted March 31, 2014 (edited) 520H should have a "J" hook on each side of the battery that bolt to a horizontal bar with a piece of angle welded to it. This angle fits on the top front corner of the battery and the two "J" hooks pull the battery down and to the rear. Edited March 31, 2014 by ekennell
