Kelly 1,028 #2 Posted March 14, 2014 The 10 to 16 hp kohler horizontal shaft engine pumps will interchange, you may have a metal and a plastic pump, the plastic pumps are bigger in size than the metal, but should supply the same amount of fuel.
slammer302 2,154 #3 Posted March 14, 2014 Its metal but it is larger
rmaynard 14,922 #4 Posted March 14, 2014 I have seen metal fuel pumps that had larger bodies, but the flange and pump lever were identical. If your mounting flange and lever are the same on the K241 as they are on the K341, you should be able to interchange them. The new part number for a fuel pump to fit K241 through K341 is 47 559 11-S.

rmaynard 14,922 #6 Posted March 14, 2014 Here are drawings of four of the pumps that Kohler had on their K241 through K341 engines. The 47-393-04 pump is the one on the right according to the Kohler parts diagram.

TT-(Moderator) 1,128 #8 Posted March 15, 2014 The Carter "severe duty" pump can be replaced by a comparable standard pump. 241 through 341 & M10 - M16 pumps are interchangeable. Carter pump: Standard pumps:
