spark949 24 #1 Posted February 18, 2014 I have been using 40 gram thinsulate snow gloves when I'm out on the tractor making the snow fly. They do get wet though and hands get cold, but much warmer than the leather gloves I use to use. They are ripping now and would like to get something a little better but with the dexterity of the gloves I have now. Any recommendations? Thanks Oh it's snowing again here in ct. Go figure..... bmsgaffer 2,052 #2 Posted February 27, 2014 I use hotfingers mittens when actually on the tractor (waterproof). I just dont need that much dexterity for operating steering and levers, and I like my hands being toasty warm. I use mechanix gloves when I have to work on it. They are cold but you need the dexterity.
64s 83 #3 Posted February 27, 2014 Gloves? What's that? I use my pockets if its really cold, otherwise my hands are in constant use so they don't ever get really cold. I can't stand not 'touching' what I'm working with. Does anyone have a recommendation for gloves that allow you to really "feel" thru them???
truckin88 104 #4 Posted February 28, 2014 I got deere brand gloves at TSC this year, they are insulated and waterproof but they have the dexterity similar to Mechanix gloves, plus they were 14 bucks. They are awesome when hooking up the plow on the truck, that steel is cold!

boovuc 1,090 #7 Posted March 2, 2014 I have found that the only gloves that keep my hands warm are Goretex/Thinsulate gloves. (Have to have both)! A Goretex inner lining with a minimum 100 grams of Thinsulate in a nylon shell. They can get wet but my hands stay dry and warm. I found these when I used to ski. Great for snowmobiling and hiking too.

My hands freeze right up with the snow blowing on them.I need the gloves to hold my cold beer too. Edited March 2, 2014 by spark949
