Steering Reduction re-fit

I was asked the question if 520 steering reduction could be put on a 312 or 416 around the 89 era. I know everything has to be changed, but the big question is the upper steering shaft. Will the steering supports on the 312 or 416 be at the right angle so the shaft will mate up right on the steering box? I know some of you out there have done some conversions but I did not see where if any dash support work had to be done. I have only converted a 1990 520 to reduction and it was almost a bolt in and go. Any help would be appreciated so I can pass it on.
