On the show field?

AMC RULES

I remember some talk a while back about the best canopy for the big  :wh: show...

can we revisit this topic, is there one type/model that is a better investment that all the others?

Anyone have a good source for one to recommend?    :thanks:

Any of the pop-up canopies that you get from eBay are Chinese. They are not meant to last. I had mine for 3 shows, then I left it up one night at home while cleaning out my shed. We have a sudden downpour, the nylon top bellied with the weight of the water and bent the frame beyond repair. I say beyond repair because the manufacturer will not sell me repair parts. So I am going to fork over another $200.00 and buy a new one before the show this year, and hope that I can get another 3 years out of this one. All pop-up canopies come with a warning that they are not to be used in the event of rain or wind.

I am really hoping together we can find one of quality made here in the USA instead.   :flags-waveusa:

This manufacturer looks promising, made in the USA...

...and they're on ebay too. Search "caravan canopy" there.  :handgestures-thumbsup:

Wait until spring and if you have an Ocean State Job Lot near you, you can get one for $90-$125.

Thanks for the review Neil.

Does anyone have a good experience with one to share, how are those EZ ups, heavy duty?

I got one of those Chinese ones and the tubes are quite heavy. Problem was the springs that hold the lock balls are flimsy and broke. Again can't get parts. If there's another person around to help I can stick a bolt and nut in the hole and still use it.

Craig, There's a company near me that has been making tents since 1875, they might have something. Search  " Armbruster Tent Maker"
