Cutting edge/snow blade

Any of you guys use plastic? My neighbor has plastic on his Deere blade. It looked kind of distorted like it got hot. He told me it works great but I have my doubts.

I never used plastic. I can speak from experience not from me personally using one but from the road in front of my farm. Beaver Twp. switched to a plastic cutting edge after they had a driver break a steel one last year…..This new plastic edge sucks. It doesn't clean down to the asphalt and doesn't scrape away chunks of ice or slush away very effectively. I would never use a plastic or rubber edge

Never is  a long time...

Snow removal is best if you plow before it is packed down and turns to ice.

Check out this link, they have several to choose from.

Plastic has it purpose if you don't want big scrap marks on your drive way, probably won't cut ice. :eusa-think:

Unless you have a solid link & Hyd. lift to apply down pressure, your steel edge won't cut ice either. :snooty:

Use what works!  And if it Hurts, Don't Do It.
