Navig8r 132 #1 Posted January 29, 2014 Can anyone tell me? I haven't been able to find any info to confirm or squash whether it will fit or not. I don't have any experience with older Horses or attachments. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,499 #2 Posted January 29, 2014 A BD-4261 is a 42" blade made for 1961 models and those are all short frame tractors. The 416-H is a long frame so the BD-4261 is too short. Look at the rear of this frame and you will see 2 sets of holes for the crossbar. One for the short and the other for the long. A 48" blade is a better width when angled so you don't end up with the tires running in snow that rolls back in. The blades that followed were all 48". Search the Manual Library for Blade Dozer and they should all come up. The BC in the model number continued till the new 5 digit model numbers Blade C-Series which were long frames. Navig8r 132 #3 Posted January 29, 2014 Thanks... Good info! I saw an ad on CL for one for $35.00 so I figured I'd look into the fitment.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,499 #4 Posted January 30, 2014 I was wrong. The BD-4261 was for tractors built before the short frame models so it's even shorter. It fit the mid-engine tractors last built in 1961. Garry
