AMC RULES 37,196 #2 Posted January 19, 2014 Did the two swans just show up with the high tide too Neil?
neil 2,410 #3 Posted January 19, 2014 I live about 30 metres away from an inland victorian canal & the Swans live with their parents on the canal . These two swans are the only two left out of nine signets were born last year , sadly some Polish immigrants killed the other seven & ate them . They obviously didnt know that these birds belong to the British Royal crown and are pretected . made me quite angry when we discovered what was left of the remains of the rest of their family

Sparky-(Admin) 23,130 #5 Posted January 19, 2014 So is your house up enough to stay dry? Do you have a basement? Mike........
Stigian 1,234 #6 Posted January 19, 2014 I think Mark and Mike have said it all.... How's your house and tractors?
neil 2,410 #7 Posted January 19, 2014 Tractors are ok at the moment , i think i learned my mistake last year . The house is ok at the moment as long as we dont get too much more rain . the flooding is a result of The local council & developers building thousands of houses locally & collecting all the rainwater from these houses & discharging the water in old victorian brooks that rin past my house. These brook just cannot cope with the volumes of water that is collected .
Stigian 1,234 #8 Posted January 19, 2014 That's good news Neil, fingers crossed the rain stays away.. Nice placement of the RS plug in your 1st photo by the way It sounds like your local council should spend some time and money and re-do those victorian brooks to a much better and bigger standard..
