MaineDad 85 #1 Posted September 5, 2008 Well I just got done mowing the front and back yard with the C-160. I must say that having a RD deck combined with the Hydro cuts mowing time down quite a bit from using the 314-8. I was able to do the whole job without any problems. The tranny is still leaking and I am considering taking it off an reinstalling the new gaskets again. Maybe one tore during the last installation, not sure. Worth a shot because I cannot stand leaks like this. Just an update...

MaineDad 85 #3 Posted September 6, 2008 I took the transmission off to check the gasket. It indeed was torn and I noticed there was a section where I had not scraped off the old gasket off. Cleaned her all up and put on a new gasket. No leak there anymore! I still have a small leak on the pump motor which I will order another gasket and start that over too. Another great thing happed with the tranny! While she was off, I took out my huge pair of plumbers pliers and gave the tow valve a crank. She turned! I removed it and installed the tow valve from the back up tranny. Things are getting better - knock on wood :banghead:

WheelHorse_of_course 99 #5 Posted September 7, 2008 Whoo hoo Micah  Glad to hear things are getting better on that horse. I am also glad you left it hydro! So, you should have lots of melons now, and tons of tomatoes, what else? Cheers

kpinnc 10,939 #7 Posted September 8, 2008 Hey Micah, just grind the end flat and weld a little "T" in it. Then put it back in the spare tranny... Really glad you got it working. Kevin
BairleaFarm 339 #8 Posted September 8, 2008 Can you take a picture of where that goes? I cant find mine on my C160 or my B100 for that matter.
