Anglo Traction 761 #1 Posted January 7, 2014 (edited) We don't get real cold winters here often (thankfully), but I thought I'd post a link to a short film with the 60s music. More longer film links listed there also. I know you guys have enough cold at the moment without looking at more. I was 10 years old then, so it was all an adventure every day. had about 4 continuous months of super cold weather. Enjoy!. http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&ved=0CDgQtwIwAQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D_bT5zlj_usY&ei=_uXLUrWfMYethQeioYD4Aw&usg=AFQjCNEGhksRHpnhGLKfWN1TC6BlJAMLpA edit - or the long version- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QM6_GqVWjA Edited January 7, 2014 by Anglo Traction

Stormin 9,985 #4 Posted January 12, 2014 I used to live at the bottom of a hill. My mates and myself used to toboggan down the road on the packed snow. Then after a few days it got gritted. Spoil sports.
Sparky-(Admin) 23,462 #5 Posted January 12, 2014 Really makes you appreciate the radial tires we have now. Those old bias ply tires on the cars and vans in the first video looked useless in the snow, and it wasn't all that deep. Mike..............
Stormin 9,985 #6 Posted January 13, 2014 Oh yes, tyres have really improved since those days. I used to have an Austin A60 van with cross plies on. It would wander all over the place. Fitted radials and what a difference.
