Wheel Horse history

Is it possible to find an online site that would trace the history of Wheel Horse and their tractor lines?  As a relatively new Wheel Horse user I'm curious as what drove each series and the improvements to each.  I'd also like to find out which of their models sold the most as it might be good idea to pick up one of the more numerous models as finding used parts could be easier and/or swapping parts between models.  I suspect I could ask here and tons of info but I'd rather do some reasearch on my own so that I can ask more intelligent questions in the forums here.

Thanks in advance - Cod

I dont have an on-line link but if your willing to plunk down $57 (well worth it in my opinion) you should pick up a copy of "Straight from the Horses Mouth. The Wheel Horse Story, Final edition" By Michael Martino. You'll learn all about the history of this great line of tractors.

Actually production numbers are only known for a few of the low production specialty models so you wont be able to find much of that info anywhere.

...and for what it's worth, there's a Wheelhorse page on Wikipedia too.

Thanks Gents, although at this point I'm not sure if I'll buy the book but it's nice to know it's out there.

Another good place to look is at the photo gallery. If is broken down in year groups and if you see something that peaks your interest, you can go try to download the manual or brochure to it in the manuals section - though I forget which section the brochures are at. Of course you can search the forum for a ton of info in any given model too.
