Stigian 1,234 #1 Posted December 30, 2013 As any of you with a YouTube channel will of noticed by now, Google is forcing us to have a Google+ account so we can reply to "all" comments (They have really messed the comments system up as it happens, making it much harder to find all the comments). As I like to reply as much as I can (even if I'm sometimes a bit slow doing so) I good myself a Google+ account +UkWheelHorseBloke if your interested... The trouble is I have no idea how it works or what I should be doing with it! I've never been a chap for social media sites and have no interest in FarceBook or Twatter, so I'm just not used to that sort of thing.. People have been adding me to their Google+ circles, If I don't add them to mine can we not see what each other is posting? It's all very confusing 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Not sure how it works and I have created a second Google account for youtube so just in case a "divorce:" happens I can keep some of my videos on there own! Don't you just Love Technology? meadowfield 2,758 #3 Posted December 30, 2013 the whole google+ thing is a pain. I've had a gmail account for 10 years and a youtube account for 6 or 7. It has now split my youtube channel into two accounts. So when I log in I can choose which one of me I am !!! My youtube account is a none gmail account and its nagging me to link the two. Yeah right when hell freezes over!!! I noticed last night the blur in youtube between clicking on your name and it linking through to my videos and vice versa. It's their show there, and they can do what they want with it... doesn't mean they can hold me hostage in the process. CasualObserver 3,411 #5 Posted December 30, 2013 I've been on gmail for probably close to 10 years, and have been on Google+ for 2-3. Personally I think it's great. You just use the features you want. I use it constantly for video chatting with family. I had to go to that when I was having some major problems getting skype to work between android and iOS.... went to Google+ and haven't had problems since. I also really enjoy being able to selectively post pictures and videos and publish them only to specified friends and family. I'm on facebook, but when it comes to my kids... Most of the time I prefer to limit any pics/video to only the people I choose... not the 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon that Facebook is. As for it messing with my youtube account... never had a problem. My youtube registration was under my gmail account. Way back a few years ago when it first merged them I was a little annoyed... but that was like 4-5 years ago... it's been quite problem free. Google+ plus is also directly linked from my phone, so it's my cloud storage of all photos taken on my phone. One of the benefits I like of it, is the cool automatic animations that it does sometimes too... like this picture from Christmas day... while it was snowing. Sometimes I have to reply to comments through G+, other times through YT, but finding all the comments on YT is not always easy!
