No Spark On A 520H With Onan P220G-I

New To All Of This Hope I Posted In The Right Place.

 

Have A 520H With An Onan P220G-I That Runs Intermittently Sometimes There Is Spark And It Will Run For About 20-30 Minutes Then Just Shuts Down And Wont Refire. Have Already Replaced The Coil Then It Fired Right Up Ran A Bit Then Same Problem.. Not Sure If A Relay Is Bad Or What..Please Help Thanks

Sounds like it could be an intermittent wiring issue.  The fuse holder sockets have been a large source of connection issues.  You might try to clean them or temporarily bypass them and see if there is any change.

I had a similar problem with the Onan on my 520H. It turned out to be the trigger and magnet under the flywheel. Mine would run for a while and would stop dead. Would restart after a few minutes, then die off again.

Forgot To Mention One Thing After The Engine Dies, I Pulled The Plug Wires Put Spark Plugs In And Check For Spark Nothing Until You Turn The Ignition Off Then It Will Give A Good Spark.

There should be some OHM value for the trigger. You can disconnect the wires going to it from the coil and check that. Not sure what the value is, but somebody here will know.

Hello scrappie 24 ,

 

I am an owner of a 416-H and i have the same problem of you and like you i change the coil and still got the problem

Did you find something that can help me to resolve the problem
