Trouty56 567 #2 Posted December 8, 2013 The guy that removed that mess has arms like Popeye after using a set of wire cutters for the week.....
jwl 75 #3 Posted December 8, 2013 We had a similar thing happen with a truck that hauled scrap metal. The tarp/netting material that covered the load, fell down into the drive shaft, and wound up so tight it killed the engine. Took me about 2 1/2 hrs with a air powered cutoff wheel, to get it off and the drive shaft removed. It ended up bending the drive shaft.
AMC RULES 37,220 #4 Posted December 8, 2013 Imagine what that must have sounded like?
boovuc 1,090 #5 Posted December 8, 2013 Had a gentleman I work with pickup some barb-wire fencing from his camp on a Dodge Pickup a month ago. He caught it just before it would have caused serious problems. It took him an hour using a stranger's wire cutters in a church parking lot to get it off of there. (Camp road runs parallel to a fence row and they have had issues with the adjacent owner)! Imagine that!
