I'm glad I passed this boat your way... I knew one of us had to have it.. It took my son Jesse to remind me how close my prized 1949 wood race boat came to getting destroyed by a huge limb that fell within inches of it. I can't escape the trees in my yard and whenever the wind blew I was worried. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if a vintage wood boat gets destroyed on my watch... The last picture shows the three old style vintage life vests I picked up at the local flea market this past weekend for $5.00. I hope to bring the boat down to the guy who makes covers and get a price on cockpit covers, full trailer cover and some seat pads. Uncle Buck 246 #210 Posted June 10, 2014 I plan on installing seat belts and not cracking 55mph- lol ! This one will not be a hot rod so I am sure that the bias ply tires will be fine. I don't think you will need to worry about much more than 50mph unless you want to hear that ol engine screamin like a banshee!
