Thanksgiving is JUST next week and I am thankful!

As many of you know I certainly have a LOT to be thankful for this year.  Aside from just being able to wake up in the morning, I am thankful for my family, neighbors and friends and for the support that they have shown me and my family this year as I continue to recover.

I am also thankful for our military, and for those who will not be spending time with their families while I spend time with mine.  A woman who I love dearly has put together a program to make it easy to send thanks to these service men and women, all it takes is a point, click, print envelope and stamp!  10 minutes of your time, and costs under a dollar to show those who will not be spending time with their families so you can spend time with yours, it's simple to do, just click here.

Our military is not the only ones who are sacrifice during these times.  We have an on-going commitment to help raise funds for Childhood Cancer Research through St. Baldricks.  It's sad to think that a child will spend Thanksgiving in a hospital bed with IV's, monitors and feeling sick on Thanksgiving.  What do they have to be thankful for?  Their families are concerned with their kids making it through the night, and don't have time to help raise funds to combat their child's cancer.  While it may seem that they have little to be thankful for, they are, they're thankful for those who are helping raise funds for them so they can concentrate on their kids.  RedSquare is actively raising funds for these kids, please think of them with a donation.

For years, I hear and read what others are thankful for and in almost ALL cases, the words, "family" & "friends" come up.  With just a little extra effort and a little money, YOU can help strangers be thankful for the kind hearted and grateful people that make our countries great!

Happy Thanksgiving to you all, and thank you for your support of me, my family, our military and the children stricken with Cancer!

And we do have a lot to be thankful for.I try to do something for less fortunate folks, but if things are going bad for you try to find something that warms your heart and puts a smile on your face.Sometimes if we are really feeling down and we do something for someone else it picks up our own spirits.Think of that person who may be alone at this time. It's a good time to patch things up with family members we have wronged or been wronged by.

I'm rambling on,just be nice to one another

I'm very thankful this year too. I have two children and a grandson and an ex-wife who are all healthy, warm, dry, and well fed. The ex still to this day makes the best apple pie I've ever tasted, and always bakes one just for me at Thanksgiving.
