SousaKerry 503 #2 Posted November 7, 2013 Saw that earlier this week, they sure didn't waste any time getting it bailed did they. What were they harvesting? Wheat around here comes off in July and you can't really bail soy bean fodder.
Stigian 1,234 #3 Posted November 7, 2013 They were harvesting wheat. The weather hasn't been the best for harvesting down south this summer, plenty of rain.. So when they got the chance they went for it.. The next day it tipped down!
Stormin 9,984 #4 Posted November 7, 2013 Lucky them. Last year a lot of barley was left lying here because of water logged ground. Even silage was in short supply.

dcrage 630 #7 Posted November 7, 2013 Stig How big are those bales? -- Obviously a lot bigger than the 60 lb things I used to throw for summer $s back in the 60s The time I waste at work late in the day looking at You Tube videos of those big farm operations -- The silage choppers from Wales are a favorite of mine

I guess that's the frustrating part of farming in the UK,,, You never know what the weather is going to do. Cool! I thought so I think those big guys were just showin' off... trying to get those two fine fillies to look their way. The two fine fillies had turned their backs in disgust Craig... Think it must be the green paint! One would just fit on my Saxon trailer, if it could handle the weight. Now thats what i call a lawn mower Yep, it is a bit of a monster Neil Here's a couple of pic's I got of it last year. And yes I did measure up to see if the rubber tracks could be made to fit on my 6X6 Thanks for subscribing by the way
