DoctorHfuhruhurr 137 #1 Posted October 31, 2013 This is an interesting article on how to keep the mice away. It seems easy enough to make also if you're inclined. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/10/28/mom-makes-millions_n_4171299.html?icid=maing-grid7%7Caim%7Cdl20%7Csec1_lnk2%26pLid%3D398978
SousaKerry 503 #2 Posted October 31, 2013 Sweet I will have to look for some of that for my storage unit and shed. Maybe give some to dad for Christmas for use in his combines and tractors.

953 nut 59,746 #6 Posted November 1, 2013 Great story ( overcoming the EPA is a plus ) Now, who can tell me what will get rid of squirrels? in advance.
roscoemi 245 #7 Posted November 2, 2013 An accurate .22 will take care of squirrels! Pretty good pan fried also.
DoctorHfuhruhurr 137 #8 Posted November 2, 2013 Squirrels are just fuzzy tailed rats. I used to use "have a heart" traps with peanut butter for bait at one house and then drop them off a few miles away but you have to place the traps off the ground or you'll catch skunks and opossums. I wouldn't be surprised if a perfume type product worked on squirrels in an enclosed attic space or shed but I don't see it doing much to protect a garden. At another location the neighbors barn cats would keep them in check but then the cats(and tons of kittens) came with their own challenges.
flyovrcntry 115 #9 Posted November 5, 2013 My father in law used Hi-Karate,he must have bought it by the gallon, about 5 bucks I think. He put it on so heavy you could smell it before he even got out of the bathroom. I don't think the mice made it too far, they were belly up in the basement
6wheeler 669 #10 Posted November 6, 2013 Best mouse trap bait I have ever used? The filling from an OREO cookie. Gets em' every time. Rodent cocaine they call it. Probably work on squirrels too.
flyovrcntry 115 #11 Posted November 7, 2013 I tried that oreo filling, had to take the grandson to the emergency room, nurse said yeah we get a couple these a year.
