Well you know what they say.... When the cats away..........

As I dropped my wife off to her fathers house at 6:30a this morning for a trip to NY I found myself wondering HMMMM what to do all this free time...

Well since My neighbor was kind enough to drop 12 yds. of fresh Florida dirt in my back yard I felt the need to move it......

Time to build a plow...

You say BUILD ???? well Wheeled Horses are hard enough to come by down here in Florida let alone PLOWS.... So here we go...

Let me first apologize for the lack of picks I didn't have my camera the whole time. So basically you get the start and finish...

So here is the start.

Since My tractor never had a plow on it ever I needed to build the rear axle brackets too.

Here is the finished:

And now with some dirt on it to boot:

Its nice have a Vinyl graphics plotter too... comes in handy...

Loaded the C-81 into truck at 7:15am drove to the shop started  there at  8:30a... loaded new combo into the truck and drove home at 5:00pm was pushing dirt by 6:00pm...

No one was at the shop today so I didn't get bothered by anyone...work, work, work...

Not too bad.

Very cool!

I've got  a Deere plow that I may be adapting this way for my tractor. What size square tubing did you use? I'd be interested in seeing some close ups of how you did the rear hitch/bracket thingy. Any ideas for remote angling?

The rear brackets are pretty much just like the factory but a lot beefier... I used 1/2" plate top and bottom, and as for the remote angle. I am just gonna leave it as it is, if I need to angle it  I can pull the pins and move it by hand. no biggie. It is a bit heavier then the factory plow. This one is all 1/4" plate. That's why I went with the rolled Aluminum on the top which is also 1/4".. All the frame tubing is 1 1/2" x 1 1/2' x 11ga.

I can do close ups later on for ya if needed.

Very nice!!! Add some ballast out back and a set of snow chains. And try to remember its not a D-3. It'll be unstoppable!

Her side of the garage would be bad enough, no?

The living room? - i don't think I"d want to to go there........... :angry-nono:

(... and now you got me started - I'm out in the garage sizing up that Deere plow now...)

Ya know thats not a bad Idea..... Anyone have any close up pics of one with detail..That would be greatly appreciated...

Was already thinking about doing a rake but a mid blade would be even better.
