Ed Kennell 36,047 #1 Posted September 23, 2013 Can anyone tell me what carbs are usable on a K-241 AS . I think the original may be a Carters #26, but at some point they switched to a Walbro. Any links to a carb cross ref list ?
rmaynard 14,949 #2 Posted September 23, 2013 (edited) Yes, the Carter #26 is the original, but it was replaced by Walbro due to EPA regulations. In the manuals section, under engines/Kohler, you will find this file: Kohler Carburetor Ref Manual TP-2377E.pdf The cross reference guide is in that manual. Ed Kennell 36,047 #5 Posted October 4, 2013 The A means it has a special oil pan. The S means electric start.
rmaynard 14,949 #6 Posted October 4, 2013 The blocks and pans are NOT interchangeable between the K241S and the K241AS. Have you considered taking the block to a machine shop and having them drill the bolt out correctly?
