Jim_M 179 #1 Posted September 6, 2013 Does anyone here own an engine dyno? I'm thinking about buying or building a small engine dyno and would love to hear your opinions. I would need one capable of up to 150 horsepower and up to 10,000 rpms. I think a water brake dyno would be my best bet. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
sorekiwi 761 #2 Posted September 7, 2013 The one we have at work is a self contained, mobile, hydraulic unit that came from a surplus machinery company who had got it from Ford. We bought 2 of them, they came complete with 3.0L V6 engines running on propane on them! I cant find a picture here at home, I can take some next week. I'm not sure what their full capacity is, our Silver Ghost engines are only putting out about 120hp, but they have a ton of torque. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
