Torino 15 #1 Posted July 19, 2013 (edited) It is hard to see but there is a split there. Is it suppose to be like that or is it a crack forming? It is on my "88 520h. I noticed because when I pulled the pto lever the engine moved. Edited July 19, 2013 by Torino
Callen 64 #2 Posted July 19, 2013 The bolt right above the red circle with the cable hold down looks loose, don't know about the crack....
KATO 115 #3 Posted July 19, 2013 Hard to see if thats a crack for sure ... looks like it might just be a separation between the two plates. make sure your engine mount bolts are tight as mentioned.
ericj 1,579 #4 Posted July 19, 2013 the solenoid plate is a second plate not part of motor mounting plate. my 96 520-H had the same problem recently, the motor mounting plate bolts were loose not the same as the motor mount bolts, the mount plate ,bolts are under the motor and and a little more difficult to get to with out pulling the motor loose i believe i was doing a motor swap so it was no big deal for me eric j
Torino 15 #5 Posted July 20, 2013 That's good news. Lot easier tightening up some bolts then taking the engine out and doing some welding.
