NOT A GOOD MORNING

Recommended Posts

Vinylguy

Today was not a good day at the shop.

Our large format solvent printer broke down.

Our tech cant get to us till next week.

I cant complain because we have had few problems in the

7 years we've had it but I had a ton of work for it today.

cant cut all the graphics we have laminated and ready to

cut and package. Should be up and running by next Wed though.

Fingers crossed and check book ready. Still better than buying a new one.

Just hoping we dont have to reprint everything if they have to re install firmware.

Of course I just spent money on 2 tractors and now this happens. Oh well

it could always be worse.

Oh, the cost of doing business.  :disgust:  Sorry to hear about your troubles, but maybe things won't be as bad as expected.

Thanks Bob. My tech just called and will be here next Wed. cost is not going to be too bad if it is what he seems sure it is.

$500 should be the most so that will make it much easier to take. Just hate the down time.

It could have been a lot worse. It could of broke down BEFORE you bought the tractors and then you see them for sale and decide you can't afford them. :eusa-think: At least you don't have to deal with all these whacko engineers, contractors and electricians I have to deal with every day. I've become more gray these past 2 weeks! :)

Actually it's pretty quiet around here. Get up at 4:00 A..M. Fix all the screw-ups and try to keep about 1200 people happy and comfortable. Get home at 5:00 P.M. Eat and spend about an hour here trying to figure out who Craig is this week and hit the sack at 8

As of 3:15 PM Central time My large format Printer has come back to life.I thank you all deeply for your patience and we will be working hard to get caught up.

Note to self. After replacing delicate electrical circuits, CHECK THE FUSE!! :banghead:

Some good news out of the bad...

We replaced 3 different circuit boards and a so called  thermasistor  which are normally what goes when you have heating issues.

problem was that it would still not heat. Evidently when the bad circuit board finally failed it popped this little hidden fuse on the power board.

I joked with the tech about my $800 fuse. Those parts needed changed anyway and it is performing like a brand new machine so I am

happy happy happy. Still found time to play with a couple of my tractors last evening so it was a very good ending to a stressful day.

Glad you are "Up & Running" again.

Sometimes it is the simple things that stump us the most!
